The Shop, Eat, Drink Guide to this Paris Fashion Week

Posted by Sarah de Castro on

Paris Fashion week has just kicked off, despite the recent controversy about the treatment of models, the looks have delighted and inspired us. Here in the Kreateurs Paris office we were especially impressed by Maison Margiela, Vanessa Bruno, Lemaire and the 100th show of Dries Van Noten… You get the picture we’re into it.

Paris fashion week F/W coincides with the  very beginning of Spring, the evening are getting a little longer, the daylight a little warmer as the biting cold of February is transforming into March sunlight and showers.

So how to make the best of this very special, very fashionable moment in Paris. Here’s where you’ll find us, our top spots:

Our founder Inga recently stumbled upon this juice bar and is now officially addicted: Otium cold press jus. In the center of the 9th arrondissement.

They’ve taken all the codes of  juice for health and blended them together with a art-inspired Paris sophistication. The Time after Time concoction is the best green smoothie I’ve ever tasted, and trust me coming from New Zealand I’ve tried my fair share.

Let’s get personal, after all the RTW we’ve been feasting our eyes on, maybe it’s time to mix it up. Clotilde Rano offers made-to-measure shirts for men and women… this is not an overpriced tailoring service. It’s a convenient way to get the absolutely perfect shirt for your body shape and tastes (you can choose the collar type, cuffs, fabric etc.).

This is also an experience, a new way, but like a back-in-the-day old fashioned way, to think about clothing -quality over quantity. The price is right and it’s easy to make an appointment either at the Paris workshop or they can come to you, at locations in central Paris.

Our restaurant recommendation?  Miss Kothink Japanese fusion in chic artsy atmospheric cocktail bar.

The space is the latest offering from renowned French designer Philippe Starck and makes a night out from having a meal out. This place makes the Buddha bar seem tame and old fashioned, we are talking stacked screens, neon lights, Formica chairs and scarlet umbrellas. The menu is just as experiential: sashizza -pizzetta with red tuna sashimi, spring rolls with foie gras, monkfish bouillabaisse, beef bourguignon gyozas… Go, enjoy, experience.
